Now that CircleBack has launched, we wanted to share tips and tricks, ensuring you get the most from the CircleBack experience. And so, today, we want to stress what may be the single most important thing you can do while in the CircleBack app: interact with it.
You may not know this, but CircleBack is powered by a learning engine. And, while the specifics of this are complicated and, likely, irrelevant to you, the effects are not. Every time you interact with CircleBack—be it accepting/ignoring update notifications, merging duplicates, connecting networks, or adding missing information—you create a better CircleBack for the entire community.
What we mean is, CircleBack learns from your feedback. If, for example, CircleBack believes that Jim Halpert is a salesman at Dunder-Mifflin, but in your address book, he’s co-founder of Athlead, it’s important to let CircleBack know that it may be pushing the wrong, or old, information. When you “ignore” an update, CircleBack takes your feedback into consideration, comparing it with the thousands of other data sources/signals it receives about Jim, and makes a decision about what update information to provide in the future.
So, to ensure that your address book is as accurate as possible (and that CircleBack continues to offer high-quality contact update notifications), be sure to interact and, when relevant, ignore.
